Made from kid-size pants (with missing button, stain on the leg, etc......in other words, no more than $2 at the thrift store)....I used the cut-off legs for bags and leg warmers.

A Sampling of Cards
Cards for many different occasions...
This is the character for "love" - the English word "love" is embossed on the inside.
Embossed (with a stylus) on parchment paper.
A "puffy" fish - i.e. has a small tuft of a cotton ball (or batting would work too) under the fish to give it a 3-D effect.
A vase with flowers...held up by wire stems.
The origami crane cut out with pretty paper behind.
Tea pot with a lid that pulls out a message written on parchment paper.
